Pranathi, aged 6, from Waterford is waiting for a new heart and shared with us her wish to help her favourite princesses get ready for the ball! Her wish came true when Cinderella, Elsa, Anna and Belle donned their ballgowns and visited Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin where Pranathi was waiting for them dressed in her own ballgown and glass slippers, make-up kit at the ready. She gave them a special makeover before the princesses and nurses (donning tiaras) serenaded her with songs from Frozen. Some of the highlights of the wish for Pranathi included receiving My Little Pony gifts from the Disney royalty and Princess Belle reading her favourite story, Beauty and The Beast to her.

Pranathi’s mum shared her experience of the day with us, saying:

“Pranathi’s wish seemed easy on paper, to meet her favourite Disney princesses, yet the experience Make-A-Wish created for her was more than she or we could ever have imagined. The princess dress, tiara & jewellery were delivered before the princesses arrived so that Pranathi felt 100 feet tall walking up the hospital corridor to meet them. She glowed with pride, excitement & magic for the whole afternoon. There is no doubt that being sick and in hospital for this long is a memory Pranathi will carry with her but importantly, Make-A-Wish allowed her so many very special beautiful moments & memories within this time and for that we are truly indebted… a truly magical princess experience for our beautiful girl.”

A special thanks to all who helped us grant this wish at short notice, particularly the ‘princesses’ who are first year dance students from Inchicore College, and KBPhoto Rathfarnham.
