Kids for Wish Kids Schools Awards 2018/19

The Kids for Wish Kids Awards are designed to encourage students to develop their entrepreneurial skills, build their confidence and create a greater level of social enterprise. Students can take part by developing a mini-company, running an event or taking part in a challenge; and their project can involve an individual or group effort.

Dublin Marathon 2018

The event, which takes place on Sunday 28th of October, will see over 16,000 participants take part. The generosity of supporters last year played a huge part in helping Make-A-Wish grant 221 unique and memorable wishes to brave children across Ireland.

Skydive for Wishes

Do you have a bucket list? If so, we’re pretty sure that taking part in a skydive is included on it. It’s an exhilarating, once in a lifetime experience and one which can turn even the most timid of people into adrenaline junkies!

If you would like to organise a skydive on your own, or with friends and family, we are happy to support you every step of the way. You can schedule your skydive at any time throughout the year.

Waterford Country Fair

Event: Proudly supporting Make-A-Wish Ireland, Waterford Country Fair returns to the stunning Curraghmore House & Gardens in Portlaw, West Waterford.

Date: Sunday 10 June for what promises to be the biggest and best country life and living event in the region.

Time: 12 PM throughout the afternoon and evening

About: The 2500-plus acre estate is home to Lord and Lady Waterford and the grounds in, around and behind their ancestral home will be transformed into a Mecca for country sports and living enthusiasts for the day-long event with proceeds again going to Make-A-Wish Ireland for the second year in a row. and includes jousting, sheep dog trials, poultry displays, falconry, dressage, side saddle and pony club games qualifiers for the Royal Dublin Horse Show. Fair-goers will also have a chance to try their hand at fly fishing, archery and so much more. This year there will be a destinctive carnival flavour with loads of children’s entertainment, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, fun activities and so much more for all the family to enjoy.

Admission: €10 for adults, €5 for children.

Yoga Under The Tree

Cowboys & Heros

 Event: Proudly supporting Make-A-Wish Ireland, Cowboys and Heros takes place in Drumcoura City, an idyllic 50 acre western themed ranch, located just outside of Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim.

Date: Join us on Sunday 4th June

Time: 12 noon throughout the afternoon and evening

About: Cowboys and Heroes is Ireland’s n°1 Country Music and Americana festival with top Irish and American Country acts along with Western horse shows, an American car show, line dancing, jiving, 5 bars, a food village, camping, Tipi’s, amusements and lots more.

This year Make-A-Wish Ireland volunteers will be at the gate to collect much needed funds to help grant wishes to seriously ill children all over Ireland.

VHI Women’s Mini Marathon

The VHI Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on Sunday 3rd June 2018.  Make-A-Wish Ireland is looking for amazing women all over Ireland to join our ‘Wish Team’ and run, walk or crawl the 10k to help grant extraordinary wishes to children aged 3-17 years, battling life-threatening medical conditions.

Lark in the Land

Lark in the Land will be taking to the stage on Saturday June 2nd at 8pm in Leisureland, Galway.

 

We have a wide range of very talented acts, details of which will follow soon and we are delighted to announce that our MC will be Alan Keegan, The Voice of Old Trafford.

This year, proceeds from the event will go to Make-A-Wish Ireland, a children’s charity which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to give hope, strength and joy.
