Charity Coffee Morning

Host a Coffee Morning Social

Deliver good news to children living with life-threatening illnesses by hosting a Coffee Morning Social with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues. To get started, fill in the form below and a member of our fundraising team will be in touch.

Coffee mornings and tea parties are the bread and butter of fundraising. They provide a wonderful opportunity to get your favourite people, colleagues or even your wider community together to catch up, have a chat, eat treats and raise some dough to help grant life-changing wishes.

If you need any advice about organising your Coffee Morning Social please contact us here in the Fundraising department at 01 205 2007 or info@makeawish.ie.

Fundraising Tips:

1. Pick a charity you can really get behind.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to bring hope, strength and happiness. A wish granted is true magic for the child, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment. Wherever possible, we invite the whole immediate family to share in the wish, to experience moments of joy and make memories to last a lifetime.

Here are just a few of our wish stories.

2. Find out ways to collect donations.

There are many ways that you can raise funds for wishes. You can set up an online fundraising page, which will make it super easy for your friends, family and colleagues to donate to your fundraiser. You can set up your page with JustGiving, iDonate, or even Facebook!

3. Set small, achievable milestones.

Break down the total amount you want to raise into weekly or monthly goals rather than giving it a long-term deadline. You can always increase your fundraising goal as you progress.

4. Get the word out.

When you are on your fundraising page, you can copy and paste the link to your page and post the link on Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter. Across your socials, you can ask friends and family for support. You can also copy the link to your fundraising page and share it on your Instagram story or add it to your Instagram bio.

Use whatsapp groups, facebook messenger etc to copy and paste the link to your fundraising page and send it to friends and family asking them to sponsor you.

Download Social Media Images to share online!

5. Get sponsor cards

If the people looking to support you aren’t social media savvy, we can post you a sponsorship card and you can collect cash or ask people to Revolut you the money. Email info@makeawish.ie to request yours today.

6. Don’t forget about your employer.

Maybe you have close connections to a local business, as their charity donation for the year, they can sponsor you! Or you can email the link to your fundraising page to colleagues and suppliers in your workplace asking for support.

Does your employment provide match giving? If so let us know what is needed to have your fundraising efforts matched by your workplace.

7. Remember to have fun! You're making wishes come true.
