Individual Giving Officer

BACKGROUND

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – we grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted wishes for more than 3,000 brave children across the country.

 

Make-A-Wish Ireland is hiring an Individual Giving Officer to join their team, with responsibility for donor recruitment and retention. This role will play a key contributor to our overall individual giving and digital fundraising programmes.

 

Salary depends on previous experience. Full clean driving licence essential.

 Key Responsibilities 

 

  1. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising you will lead the development of the organisation’s individual giving strategy, with a focus on building income streams within the individual giving portfolio, including cash and regular giving, tax refunds and digital.

     
  2. Support with the strategic development of a donor recruitment and retention programme.

     
  3. Analyse and develop the fundraising database (Salesforce) to support effective stewardship, data capture, data management, donation processing and segmentation of donors

     
  4. Collaborate on the implementation of segmented supporter journeys across key channels, particularly mail and email, as well as other digital channels

     
  5. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, develop and deliver a roadmap to establish Make-A-Wish digital fundraising strategy and ensure performance and delivery against KPI’s.

     
  6. Create strategies for ad campaigns, develop ad collateral, monitor, and optimise ads based on budget, and create review documents, taking learnings into future campaigns.

     
  7. Work closely with the wider fundraising teams to optimise digital elements of donor care 

     
  8. Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.


     

 

Experience/Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience project managing direct marketing campaigns from beginning to end, ideally with a donor/customer retention objective.
  • Understanding of donor/customer journeys and how they are implemented both offline and online.
  • High proficiency in core digital marketing platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), with experience in managing budgets and achieving ROI goals.
  • Experience in managing Meta Ads Manager
  • Proficiency in graphic design/video editing, specifically with Canva.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Robust, confident, ‘can-do’ attitude that thrives on challenges and remains calm under pressure.

Corporate Partnerships Officer

Location:  Dublin

Reporting to: Head of Fundraising

Make-A-Wish Ireland is hiring a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our team, with specific responsibility for driving our corporate fundraising base.  You will help deliver on key strategic goals, including the delivery of significant income growth from new and existing long-term corporate partnerships.

Salary depends on previous experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To identify & secure new corporate partners for Make-A-Wish.  This includes but is not limited to employee engagement, sponsorship and charity of the year.
  2. Build relationships with existing corporate partners to ensure partnership renewals and increased levels of giving.
  3. Cultivation of an active pipeline of new donors and manage prospects through the pipeline to secure high-level donations.
  4. Play a leading role in the development of funding proposals and collateral for a corporate audience.
  5. To work cross functionally to maximise leads
  6. To conduct research and analysis on opportunities
  7. Represent Make-A-Wish at donor meetings, conferences, events and networking opportunities.
  8. Work with the wider fundraising team to develop and manage existing key projects such as ‘Wish Week, to ensure these campaigns are run effectively and are well planned and supported.
  9. Deliver against annual budgets, targets and plans, working alongside the Head of Fundraising
  10. Update & Maintain CRM (Salesforce) with accurate and timely information.
  11. Undertake other duties as might be reasonably assigned from time to time in consultation with the Head of Fundraising.

 

Key Experience/Skills

  • Relevant experience with proven track record of securing strategic, long-term corporate clients/partnerships.
  • Demonstrable network of contacts/leads
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literate, highly numerate with excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience in working to and achieving high targets.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car as this position requires some travel.
