Marketing Executive

Contract: Permanent, Full-time role

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim – we grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted wishes for more than 3,000 brave children across the country.

Make-A-Wish Ireland is hiring a Marketing Executive to join our team, who will play a key role in supporting the Fundraising and Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborating with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the organisational goals.
  • Collaborating with our wish granting team to implement and maintain a content strategy, ensuring the delivery of compelling and impactful content for various platforms.
  • Drafting and scheduling content for the organisation’s social media platforms.
  • Overseeing digital marketing initiatives including CMS management and paid advertising campaigns including donation-based campaigns and lead generation campaigns across Meta and LinkedIn.
  • Working closely with the fundraising team to promote fundraising events and campaigns, ensuring maximum participation and engagement.
  • Delivering monthly marketing reports, providing insights and recommendations for optimising digital marketing efforts.
  • Identifying and cultivating relationships with gaming content creators to ensure the delivery of multiple charity streams/events throughout the year.
  • Supporting with community management through responding in a timely manner to queries in the info account and social media accounts.
  • Using online graphic design tools effectively to design social media and website assets, marketing collateral e.g. annual reports and for video creation and editing purposes.
  • Managing the organisation’s email marketing and supporting with direct mail campaigns.
  • Monitoring Google Ads and Analytics on a monthly basis.
  • To undertake such other duties as might be reasonably assigned from time to time in consultation with the Head of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications

Essential Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience working in marketing/fundraising/sales/business development/event management (experience within the charity sector is an advantage)
  • Computer literate. Experience using Salesforce, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Google Analytics, website CMS, Canva.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel and willingness to work occasional weekends/evenings as required.
