Great news! Make-A-Wish, Ireland have been nominated as the chosen charity of the 3 Irish Open Golf Tournament.

Great news! Make-A-Wish, Ireland have been nominated as the chosen charity of the 3 Irish Open Golf Tournament.  3 and the European Tour's Players have joined forces to support Make-A-Wish.  A wish will be granted to a young golf fan from Killarney, the venue of the 2010 Irish Open.  Peter McEnery, who lives with cystic fibrosis has been presented with the first part his wish, a new set of golf clubs from the companies that sponsor the Pros who will be playing next week in Co. Kerry, the rest of Peter's wish will be granted during the star studded tournament over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, with Padraig Harrington lending a hand at the start of the week!

Make-A-Wish, Ireland will also benefit form many fundraising activities onsite during the week of the 3 Irish Open, including a Make-A-Wish Day on the Friday of the event.  Also three of Ireland's Biggest Golf Stars have pledged their support to Make-A-Wish.  Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Shane Lowry are offering members of the golfing public the chance to caddie for them at Killarney.  These truly once in a lifetime "Inside the Ropes" experiences are being auctioned online with all proceeds gong to Make-A-Wish, Ireland.  For more information, to choose your player and place your generous charitable bid please click here
